Kate and Mikal were married July 18 on the north shore of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park with a reception at The Belton Chalet in West Glacier.

It’s wedding like these that make me love being a wedding photographer in Glacier National Park.  Small, intimate, romantic. Your closest family and friends surrounding you and sharing in the celebration of your love.  It’s no wonder that small weddings and intimate elopements have become so popular.

The bride got ready at the beautiful and historic Belton Chalet in West Glacier, where the reception was also held. Their guests rode in the park’s iconic Red Jammer Buses to the ceremony on the North Shore of Lake McDonald. The groom’s sister performed a memorable and personal ceremony (especially memorable when her adorable kid interrupted it needing his mom!  Luckily Dad was there to save the day.)  And then back to the Belton for partying the night away!  But not before signing the marriage license and making it OFFICIAL official!
