It was a dreary, overcast day and I almost changed the location of their engagement session because I was worried we wouldn’t see any of Glacier’s epic peaks.  But I’m so glad we stuck with our original plan of engagement photos in Glacier! The mist and fog added a whole new and romantic element to their photos.  Katrina brought her parent’s 100th Anniversary Glacier Pendleton blanket, which was perfect for adding a pop of color against the white and gray backdrop.  We started out on Lake McDonald, which was so cool (cool. ha! get it;) because it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it frozen over!  Then we went to the Middle Fork of the Flathead to finish out the shoot.

The couple is going to be married at Diamond B in the Flathead Valley in September. I’m so glad we got to meet beforehand and take photos together.  Engagements photos are such a great opportunity to get to know your photographer and feel comfortable with each other on one of the biggest days of your life!  Looking forward to your big day, Katrina & Jeff!
